Field of Research

Research focuses on political communication, particularly the self-presentation of political actors in the media during election campaigns. It also addresses political history, contemporary political processes, and the role of sport in society. Methodologically, the work is grounded in qualitative analysis, applying social science theory to examine and interpret real-world political phenomena.

Curriculum

Rok Bratina was born on July 6, 1994, in Šempeter pri Gorici. He graduated in Cultural History from the University of Nova Gorica in 2016 and completed his Master’s degree in Intercultural Management at the Faculty of Advanced Social Studies in 2020. He continued his academic career as a teaching assistant while pursuing a PhD in Sociology, which he completed in 2026 with a dissertation on the self-presentation of presidential candidate Borut Pahor. In the same year, he was elected Assistant Professor in Sociology. His work focuses on political communication, political history, and the role of sport in contemporary society.
