Research in Social Change (RSC) is an international journal published by the School of Advanced Social Studies in Nova Gorica. It is a multidisciplinary journal that publishes contributions exclusively in English. The publication includes papers from the fields of social sciences and the humanities. Its purpose is to demonstrate both the theoretical and practical applicability and utility of social sciences. As the scope of social sciences and the humanities is broad, RSC primarily publishes thematic issues that address a specific topic from multiple perspectives or disciplines. In doing so, RSC makes a significant contribution to the interdisciplinary understanding of social phenomena and showcases various approaches to addressing and comprehending them.

The themes of RSC relate to contemporary changes and emerging situations in a global, informational, multicultural, and mobile society. As such, RSC opens up new topics and introduces innovative approaches to the research of social change.

RSC covers current topics in the fields of history, pedagogy and education, migration and mobility, science and technology studies (STS), anthropology, economics, political science, and other applied fields. The topics addressed by RSC are novel and relevant, thereby ensuring the journal’s continued integration and visibility within the international academic space.
