The SASS Student Council is the key body that professionally, independently, and impartially represents and advocates for the interests of all students of the School of Advanced Social Studies. Its central role is to actively participate in shaping the study process and academic life at the faculty.
By becoming a member of the Student Council, you gain the opportunity to directly influence the decisions of the faculty leadership and to co-create an environment that is tailored to your needs and supports your academic and personal development.

The term of office for all members of the Student Council is one academic year.
Each year, on the first day of the academic year, the SASS Student Council announces elections for 13 student representatives from all years and study levels. At the first session, the President and Vice-President are elected. The Council has a quorum when the majority of its members are present at a session. Information about the elections and the members of the Student Council is submitted to the Dean no later than 20 October.
