Completion of Studies

Graduates can stay connected with the faculty through the SASS Alumni Club, an association of graduates, master’s students, doctoral students, and academic staff of SASS who wish to maintain communication and connection across all generations of the SASS community. It enables its members to continue developing personally, socially and professionally even after completing their studies. More information is available at the link.

Yes. When submitting the thesis for the technical review, the candidate must also attach a copy of the proofreader’s diploma and a certificate confirming that the thesis has been proofread. Only certificates issued by proofreaders with a degree in Slovenian studies or qualified teachers of the Slovenian language are accepted. If the thesis is written in English, it must be proofread by an English language proofreader (a qualified English professor or translator).

Yes. If, for justified reasons, you are unable to submit your final thesis within the validity period, you may request an extension of the topic before the deadline expires. The Student and Academic Affairs Commission will examine the justified reasons for the extension. A “Request for Extension of the Topic” must be submitted in Moodle.

The final thesis is already included in the tuition fee. It is paid separately only if the student no longer has active student status.

Students enrolled in the renewed (updated) study programmes Social Management (BA), Social Management (BAA), Media and Journalism (BAA), and Psychosocial Support (BAA) no longer write a diploma thesis. Studies are completed once all grades are entered in the index, i.e., once the student receives their final grade. On that date, the student formally graduates.

The Student Affairs Office will prepare a temporary certificate of graduation within approximately 3–4 days and send it by e-mail, informing the student that they have successfully completed their studies at SASS.

When a student successfully completes their studies, their record is removed from the higher education information system so that the information on completion is transferred to the national eVŠ system. After being removed, the student no longer has access to Moodle and the Web Office. If the student requires any documents or certificates, they must contact referat@fuds.si.
