Completion of Studies without a Thesis

For students of certain updated study programmes, the completion of studies does not include writing a bachelor’s thesis. Instead, you successfully complete your studies once all grades have been entered into your academic record. This date is also considered your official graduation date.

  • Social Management (BA)
  • Social Management (BAA)
  • Media and Journalism (BAA)
  • Psychosocial Support (BAA)

What Happens after Completing Your Studies?

  • Provisional certificate: The Student Affairs Office will usually send you a provisional certificate of graduation by e-mail within 3–4 days after you complete your studies and will inform you of the successful completion of your studies at the School of Advanced Social Studies (SASS).
  • Deactivation in information systems: After you complete your studies, you will be deregistered from the Higher Education Information System (VIS), so that the information can be transferred to the national higher education application eVŠ. From that day on, you will lose access to Moodle and the Web Office.
