Procedure and Fees for Continuing Studies After Interruption

Students who have interrupted their studies for any reason and wish to continue (but no longer have active student status) must complete the Request for continuation of studies after interruption for students without student status and send it to komisije@fuds.si.

Important Exception: Students who only need to complete their final thesis (bachelor’s or master’s) in order to finish their studies do not need to submit the Request for continuation of studies after interruption for students without student status.

Once the faculty receives the application, an evaluation is carried out together with the Head of the Department, and the student is assigned the obligations required to continue and complete the study programme. The student receives an official decision within 14 days of submitting the application. After the decision is issued, the student gains access to the Web Office and Moodle.

Students who have not been progressing according to the regular study plan may be assigned different study obligations than those in place at the time of their initial enrolment, as the study programme may have changed or been updated in the meantime. This means that new courses may be required, and previously completed courses (subjects) may or may not be recognised.

Students without active status must pay the examination fee before taking the exams (an invoice is sent 1–2 days prior to the exam by e-mail). The price includes the possibility of taking the exam up to three times. The cost of each course is determined according to the number of ECTS credits it carries. Check the Price list.

Special Benefit for Academic Year 2024/25: Students without active status receive a 20% discount on the payment of individual study obligations.
