Social managers work in a wide range of areas, including education, healthcare, social care, human and labor rights protection, sustainable economic development, agriculture, environmental protection, and other related fields where understanding social processes and effective leadership are key.

By successfully completing the programme, the graduate obtains an education that, upon meeting other legal requirements, enables them to take the professional exam for work in the field of social welfare.

Interdisciplinary knowledge from the fields of management, sociology, political science, law, and economics. The programme emphasizes analytical thinking, understanding of social policies, strategic development, and the management of socially impactful organisations.

Strong emphasis on connecting theory with practice: project-based coursework, case analysis, and cooperation with organisations working in the field of social welfare.

The study programme is offered in Ljubljana and Nova Gorica, with the option of part-time study. The schedule is adapted to employed students, and lectures are also available in hybrid format (Study+ Support). Consultations in a foreign (English) language are also possible, especially for students considering an international career.
