Short project description
SRC-EDIH 2.0 is a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). With strong expertise in artificial intelligence, robotics, and cybersecurity, SRC-EDIH enables companies to enhance their innovation capacity, efficiency, and competitiveness through the adoption of advanced digital technologies.
SRC-EDIH 2.0 builds on the existing SRC-EDIH, which is funded under the Digital Europe Programme (GA No. 101083351 – Smart, Resilient and Sustainable Communities – European Digital Innovation Hub). The hub provides a comprehensive range of services, including test-before-invest opportunities, support in accessing finance, training and skills development programmes, and access to regional and European innovation ecosystems.
By engaging with European initiatives such as the AI-on-Demand Platform, AI Factories, and Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEF), SRC-EDIH enables companies to benefit from state-of-the-art technologies and expertise, supporting their effective digital transformation. As a first point of contact for artificial intelligence, SRC-EDIH assists companies in testing and deploying AI solutions tailored to their needs, while also providing initial guidance on compliance with the AI Act and promoting the responsible and ethical use of digital technologies.
In addition, the hub supports companies in assessing the environmental and economic impacts of digital innovations prior to major investments. By fostering digital maturity and the adoption of European AI technologies, SRC-EDIH contributes to the digital and green transition and strengthens Europe’s technological leadership, sustainability, and resilience.
Project objective
The objective of the SRC-EDIH 2.0 project is to accelerate the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing access to advanced digital technologies, expertise, and support services, thereby strengthening their innovation capacity, competitiveness, and sustainable development.
