Project description

The DINAMIC DANUBE project brings together 17 partners from the Danube region with the aim of strengthening small family farms, which are a key pillar of the rural economy. Focusing on lifelong learning, mentoring, the introduction of modern technologies, and the promotion of innovation and cooperation, the project addresses challenges such as depopulation, aging populations, and lack of knowledge. Special attention is given to the inclusion of women and the development of the bioeconomy. The project will involve 500 small farms and contribute to the development of sustainable solutions and the improvement of agricultural and educational policies in the Danube region.

Project main aim

The project focuses on strengthening small family farms through training, mentoring, and the introduction of accessible technologies to make them more sustainable, competitive, and resilient. A key objective is to enhance farmers’ knowledge and skills by developing new educational programs and providing practical field training. By promoting innovation and digitalization on farms and transferring knowledge from more developed countries such as Austria and Germany, the project supports the modernization of agricultural practices. Increasing collaboration and networking among stakeholders in the region is also a priority, achieved through study visits, events, and the development of joint strategies. Special attention is given to the inclusion of women in agriculture and the promotion of equal opportunities. The project also aims to establish a strong Danube network in the fields of bioeconomy and precision farming, and to develop policy recommendations that contribute to improving educational systems in the participating countries.
