Luca Brusati is Associate Professor of Management with the Department of Economics and Statistics of Udine University (Italy), where he established and oversees the Laboratory for Research in Economics and Management. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Management from Bocconi University (Milan, Italy). He has been a visiting scholar at NYU’s Graduate School of Public Service (US) and at the Chair of Public Management of Mannheim University (Germany), and is currently a visiting professor at Universität Klagenfurt. From 1991 to 1999 he worked as an assistant professor of public management at Bocconi University. In 1999 he obtained a secondment to the WHO Regional Office for Europe in Copenhagen (Denmark), where he covered the post of Regional Adviser for Health Services Management. In 2001 he moved back to Italy, where he serves also as Senior Professor of the Public Policy and Management Department at Bocconi University. He served as trainer, consultant or evaluator in thirty-five countries in four continents. Dr. Brusati’s research interests include comparative public management, business-government relations, multi-level governance, participatory decisionmaking and the management of international and supranational organizations.
