Curriculum Vitae:
In 2004 I received my doctorate at the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Ljubljana, where I successfully defended my doctoral thesis entitled “Cognitive information processing: an example of playing chess” in 2011. In 2004 I participated in the Tutor project at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science. From 2005 to 2011 I worked as a researcher in the field of artificial intelligence at the Department of Intelligent Systems at the Jožef Stefan Institute. I took part in several projects and for several consecutive years I was the head of the organization of the International Multiconference Information Society. Between 2011 and 2014 I worked in the company Adacta d.o.o. as a consultant in the development of software applications for insurance companies.
In 2014 I started my academic development at the Faculty of Advances Social Studies. For 6 years I was the head of the School of Psychotherapy and National Institute for Psychotherapy at the Faculty. I have also lectured at other faculties in Slovenia and around the world. The work at the Faculty always presents me with new challenges. Firstly, within the framework of research work, the results of which I have presented at several international conferences and I have participated as (co-)author in the publication of several scientific journal articles and monographs. I am also aware of the importance of professional cooperation in local and national environments. I also enjoy working with students, especially seeing the effect of mutual interaction and constructive discussions during lectures on the personal development of the people involved. I particularly enjoy being able to express my professional and life views in the context of psychological science.
My second passion in life is chess. I am a chess grandmaster, seven-time national champion and a long-time member of the Slovenian women’s chess team.
