Daša Cek Stepančič is an assistant in the field of psychosocial counselling. Born in 1987, she graduated from the Faculty of Health Sciences in 2011. In her bachelor’s thesis she researched the aspects of depression during the perinatal period. She was nominated by the University of Primorska to receive a reward for ’an excellent contribution to the science of medical care and midwifery’ and was named the most successful student in the academic year of 2011/2012. In 2014, Daša completed the Pedagogical and Andragogical Education course at the Faculty of Education. She earned her Master’s degree in psychosocial counselling at the School of Advanced Social Studies in 2018. The title of her Master’s thesis is ’Holistic Treatment of Children and Adolescents in Education System’. Since 2011 she has worked as a regularly employed professor at the School Centre Nova Gorica. She provides help and support for children, adolescents and adults with her private mental health service which offers individual, couples, family and group counselling sessions. She gives lectures and organizes workshops for parents, adolescents, companies, societies, and other groups of people. Daša is also a concept and performance manager at the KVS Slovenija. She expands her expertise by actively participating in courses and by publishing articles.
