Curriculum vitae:

Mišerla Mavrič started her master studies in 2004 at the University of Lancaster in Great Britain. In 2005, she obtained a M.A. in International Business on the topic of ”Bodily Performance of Sociality, Identity, Nature and Culture”. Currently she is preparing a doctorate’s thesis under the mentorship of Prof. John Urry.

Researching profile: At the University of Lancaster she participated in the research survey ”Friendship Ties” which observed the main points for developing new friendships when arriving in an unknown environment. In her master's dissertation she used several interesting methods of research (video camera, observation) to understand how tourists experience the natural and urban environment of Slovenia. With a similar method in her doctor’s dissertation she tries to detach how mobile tourists experience Slovenia and when/how they get attached to their experience.

Her current research is mainly related to understanding the mobility and the development of methods by which such mobility can be ”pursued”.
