Dr. Valentina Dimitrova-Grajzl is a lecturer in Central European University (Department of Public Policy). In 2006 obtained a Phd in economy at the University of Maryland, College Park (USA). Her researching profile extends from the field of comparative institutional economics, economic history, economics and justice, etc. In researches dr. Dimitrova implements theoretical empirical methodology for the analysis of divergent directions of development during the post-socialist tradition, operation and legacy of Habsburg and Ottoman Empire, to the effectiveness of the legal determinants of the conversion and the role of informal institutions in the field of political participation. She teaches at the postgraduate studies at the Departments of Public Policy and Economics at CEU..
