Enrollment requirements ( 1st year )
Aside from graduates of BA Social management programme, the first year of postgraduate MA programme in Social management can also be entered by:
a) anyone who has completed a study programme (1st level ) in relevant professional fields and has reached at least 180 ECTS (according to the Bologna process );
b) anyone who has completed  professional higher education study programme or has a university degree in relevant professional fields ( pre-Bologna system);
c) anyone who has completed equivalent study programmes as listed above in other professional fields and must consequently fulfill additional study requirements ( 12 ECTS ). Additional academic requirements are established by the Commission for Educational Affairs. Students must fulfill them before defending a thesis.

Faculty entry may be limited if a significant number of applications exceeds the number of open spots advertised. In the case of a limited enrollment, candidates will be selected according to the average estimate of their undergraduate study.
Areas of social sciences, managerial, administrative and commercial sciences are taken into account as the relevant areas of expertise.

Enrollment requirements ( 2nd year )
Direct enrollment in the second year of postgraduate programme in Social management is available to candidates with university degrees obtained in the four-year programmes. According to the 49th Rule of Law on Higher Education they are granted 60 ECTS. Given the fact that the entire programme is evaluated with 120 ECTS, candidates must pass the exams ( 30 ECTS ) and present Master's thesis ( 30 ECTS ) in order to complete the programme.

Main objectives of the programme 
The aim of social management study programmme is to educate social sciences' graduates with a broad interdisciplinary approach that will allow them to get actively involved  in the creative work process in public administration, non-profit organizations or organizations working in the field of social policy, the organizations in the economy or the private commercial sector.
The programme will be designed highly interdisciplinary. Students will master their knowledge in different social sciences ( sociology, political science, economics ) and to a lesser extent also in the fields of law, business and administrative sciences. Much attention will be devoted to a methodological purpose. The main focus of education will be on upgrading the skills needed for coping with the challenges that professionals and managers face in their line of work, especially in the field of social policy.

Acquired competencies:

  • students will be able to use and combine skills for different disciplines;
  • they will obtain knowledge and understanding of the basic social science disciplines' history and development, within the fields of sociology, political science, communication, economics and management, social informatics, jurisprudence, social statistics and qualitative methods;
  • they will gain organizational and leadership skills in organizations while understanding the individual and collective values and they will also be able to address professional - ethical issues;
  • they will be able to apply ethical reflection and commitment to professional ethics in the business environment, while maintaining respect for non-discrimination and  multiculturalism in the organization and its (international) environment;
  • they will gain understanding of the relationship between the organization and social environment - a systematic vision and action.
