Why choosing SASS?
If you are interested in social sciences but not decided yet which direction to choose.
SASS performs interdisciplinary study programs giving our students broad general knowledge. Students gain key methodological knowledge for independent research of topics of their interest. All undergraduate and post graduate courses offer a broad range of elective subjects chosen from any Slovene or foreign university and in this way increase their knowledge on topics of their interest. Undergraduate course of Applied Social Studies offers also three elective modules od Economy and Society; Regional and European Development; and Politics and Society.
If you do not want to decrease your job opportunities at the end of your studies.
Graduates of SASS gain title BA in Social Sciences ant this gives them the possibility to seek employment everywhere where sociologists, communicologists, journalists and other social sciences profiles are demanded. After concluded MA programme students gain title MA in Intercultural Management which gives possibility to seek employment in institutional organizations dealing with intercultural contacts - the EU institutions, and other international and political institutions, multinational enterprises, globally oriented non-governmental organizations and international scientifically-educational organizations. Undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of Informatics in Contemporary Society enable employment in all private and public organizations having their processes based on information technology (IT). BA and MA graduates gain knowledge from fields of informatics and computer sciences and at the same time they gain basic social science knowledge and methodological knowledge. They can seek employment in IT companies, in IT departments of any company, in market research agencies, in governmental services, EU institutions and the rest of the organizations shaping the IT market.

Advantages SASS have in terms of already established faculties:
- courses are newly based with cooperation with economic sphere (there is no recycling of old contents)
- lecturers are young experts, covering relevant fields and also established experts form practice (economy, EU institutions, experience from different international projects).

SASS does not have the ambition to become a large faculty but aims towards keeping genuine contact with its students and intensify the cooperation with them and their research problems.
